Default Shop Manuals

If any owners of late '90's - early '00's - rover's needs mechanical help, I have shop manuals for the Range Rover, Discovery, Defender 90/110, and even a pre-production Freelander book. Pm me your problem and I will try and help.

How about an LR3? I need to replace the front brakes on that bad boy.

Please don't ask me how fast the Zuk goes with a 6.5 to 1 T-case and 5:13 gears, it doesn't!

That model was after I left the LR world. However, The series 2 discovery used NRR (new Range Rover) underpinnings, and i believe the LR3 does as well.


It's pretty straightforward anyway, if you've done it on any other vehicle, you can do the Landy. You will need pads, sensors, and if really worn, discs. LR does not recommend turning rotors, and if I remember right, they don't even stamp minimums on the rotors like everyone else.

Update: The LR stealership wanted $1800 to replace 4 rotors and put new brakes all around. What a joke! I ended up buying a complete set of OEM brakes and new brake sensors for about $150. No I did not get the parts from the dealership since they wanted close to $400 for just the brake pads. Anyway, I installed the new parts on the rover and now I'm good to go for another 40K miles.

If only dealerships would stop raping people, maybe they will have more clients. No wonder they keep going out of business and shutting down. Oh...well....!
